CaseCentral/EnCase eDiscovery Review has replaced their Oracle Text engine with the Vivisimo index to add analytics and facet navigation. This is the first step to get the platform off of the Oracle database to be compatible with the rest of the EnCase products on MS SQL. Other products have been slow to develop more advanced machine learning, predictive functionality from Vivisimo indexes compared to Lucene based products.

CaseCentral is being rebranded to EnCase eDiscovery Review and prepared for licensing by channel partners. Guidance is slowly converting this hosted service platform to a more traditional software offering. eDJ sees serious competition in that market, so it will be an uphill struggle to steal market share from Relativity. Especially with the heavy emphasis on corporate customers and the on-premise Guidance eDiscovery collection systems.
