When you combine this with their low cost SaaS processing/indexing, it makes a compelling case for enterprise profiling beyond eDiscovery.

Index Engines effectively put backup tape restoration service shops out of business by providing an innovative way to identify what is on a backup tape before doing the restoration. The company now supports full eDiscovery processing and even provides an archive/preservation repository. Whether that product can take the place of existing archiving deployments remains to be seen, but it is a good sign that Index Engines is offering more than just the collection layer. This coming year should prove critical for the company as more and more corporations begin to lay the foundation for information governance.
