eDiscovery specialist (and Velasco mentee) Hope Haslam recently joined as COO and is responsible for sales, clients services, operations, and marketing. They have spent the past couple of years in development of their own technology to do processing, hosting, and PC. They are considering a push to resell their technology behind the firewall for corporations as well as resell through service providers. Looking to expand channel partner program and add sales resources in the coming months. eDJ will schedule a briefing with InterLegis in the near future and take a look at the technology.

Interlegis was one of the first players to bring volume output pricing to the market. Customers only pay for the volume of data that they promote to review. This increases cost predictability and puts the customers back in control of their spending.

Interlegis is a classic example of an aggressive service provider who developed their own processing and review software fairly early in the eDiscovery market. They now market versions of those hosted platforms to corporations and law firms for in house implementation. They still provide processing and hosting services for clients.

Interlegis is walking the line between software sales and service provider. eDJ has seen many good products and companies fail because they have not been able to wean themselves off of service revenue and fully commit to being a software company. They run the risk of stagnation and isolation as the market consolidates and the national players start to dominate the messaging to consumers.
